Does anyone have a good way to find some dirt roads or courses a rally amateur like me can take my car for some fun?

Find a National Wildlife Refuge. I wouldn't recommend bombing around on any of those roads now but after duck and goose season they should be empty. Also wouldn't hurt to see if there are any logging roads that aren't being used. We used to get busted a lot for whomping the trucks out in the hills near here before we knew the 4x4 park was a little over an hour away. See if you can find a 4x4 park. ??

National Forests are good places, but it appears the closest one may be Allegheny NF in PA. Logging roads are a good choice as HuntingPudel mentioned.

It's going to take quite a distance to stop a 5000lb vehicle on dirt, with street tires. Be safe.

Many years ago I was on a dirt road and had a head on with another car, had to hitchhike back home and meanwhile they had towed my car. I did get it fixed mostly except the frame was a little bent so the car was bent where the front meets the rest of the body. The lesson learned was to be more cautious and slower.
