How does tire pressure affect range, and ride? Currently with my car sitting in the garage FordPass says my tires are at 44/45 (recommended 39). Anyone with advice?

Generally speaking, lower pressure tends to decrease range. Higher pressure tends to make ride rougher. Both will affect handling.

44-45 cold seems high - but confirm with a real pressure gauge.

My Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) consistently reads 2-3 pounds higher than the actual pressure taken with a tire gauge.

Weird. My FordPass readings have always been identical to those I measure with two different tire gauges.
To answer the OP though, I find no real range hit between the 43 the car was delivered at and the recommended 39. But ride quality is MUCH BETTER at 39.

Yep same here. Mine came over inflated as well and when I lowered it to 39 it was much less bouncy and range actually seemed better. Measurements with my manual tire gauge and through the MME both matched up.
