I broke down and bought an OBDLink MX+ (Bluetooth OBD module) to be able to read my 12V battery voltage (and maybe play with the car a bit someday). Anyway, whenever my phone is connected to the module (via Bluetooth, of course), my phone gets EXTREMELY hot, around the MagSafe area, and just above, next to the camera module. I’ve never had my phone get this hot before, and it only heats up when connected to the OBD module. Otherwise, it’s pretty cool. Has anyone else observed this? Any idea why it’s happening? I certainly won’t leave my phone connected to the OBD module for any length of time because of this.
