Pretty much the same sentiments from me, except I plan on the 47-month option
yeah, stuck my foot in my mouth again. I was too lazy to type 3 years and 11 months. As always there's never enough time to do it right the first time, but there is enough time to do it over!

The whole term for Options is 36 or 48 months. It’s just split out into 35 or 47 monthly payments + 1 balloon.

I signed for 48 months in December 2022. Mine is a 2022 California Route 1. Sticker price just over 57,000.

I will be giving the vehicle back to Ford in December of this year. The buyout then is about 21,500. Carfax says the car is worth that much right now on a trade.

I agree with the previous comments about changes in technology. That was one of the reasons that I went with the Options financing. Right after I bought mine, they improved the battery technology. The other reason was the federal tax credit, but that's no longer a consideration.

I'll see what the market looks like in December to pick up a new Mach-E. With the price drops since I bought mine, it looks like I can get a new GT for about the same sticker price I paid for my CR1 in 2022.

Maybe I'll look at a plug-in hybrid, although I don't really like that idea because of the maintenance. My Mach-E has 29K miles and all I've done is rotate tires and change the cabin air filter.

Regardless, I have my 2018 F-150 that's paid off, so I'll just drive it until a suitable replacement for the Mach-E comes along.
