I always see a lot of discussion on here about the OTA updates, and comparing the different versions. I know right now a lot of people are getting version 4.1.2. I just received my '23 MME a few weeks ago, and I'm trying to figure out what version of Sync was already loaded on it at the factory. My "About" screen says the version is "22280_PRODUCT" and the revision is "592". But I don't see anything that looks like the version numbers that everyone is referencing on the forums here. I also checked in my FordPass app, and I don't see anything there either. I figure I must just be missing something. Thanks!

There are different types of packages and installations and each is identified in different ways.

Your SYNC screen photo is showing your version of the SYNC software installed, which is just the infotainment computer software load.

Power-Up is Ford's name for an over the air update package. Within a Power-Up there are zero or more module firmware/software updates and zero or more calibration/configuration changes.

So it's sort of apples and oranges. Power-Up 4.1.2 contains a SYNC update and maybe other things.

Oh, OK. Thanks. I thought it was all part of the same thing.

I had the same question what I first got my car. It turns out the only time you see the version number is when you get an update and even then it only shows it for a few days.

I wish someone had a table that correlates traditional version numbers (e.g 4.1.2) with the About version (e.g. 22280 rev 592). I assume there are correlations. I try to take photos everytime I get an update, but I have missed a few. Here are some of the latest:

3.5.3.3 22228 rev 539
3.6.2 22228 rev 539 (same as above??)
4.1.1 (missed)
4.1.2 22326 rev 640

I did learn somewhere on the forums here that the 22280 version means 280th day of 2022.

If you're confident they're accurate, try to capture those details over here:

I just want to know when my wireless CarPlay will return. Nothing like 27 questions from the better half upset about a fancy feature they can't live without suddenly disappearing.

I also have version 22280, rev 592 installed from the factory on a ‘23. So this appears to be older than the 4.1.2 (22326) update being pushed out now but it contains all of the new features of 4.1.2 minus the camera button (as far as I can tell).

Seems like we have version 4.1.1 “and a half.”

If 22280 is 280th day, then 22326 should be 326th day,
