Because I have a 2023 MME and am concerned about the mystery lock out problems, I have turned off automatic OTA updates as some on these forums have recommended. I recently got a vehicle alert on Ford Pass that I have a Priority Update - HVAC (24-PU0302-BAT-DR), and telling me to turn on automatic updates. Since no one seems to know what is causing the lock out problem, what do you think I ought to do? Wait until there is a fix, then start allowing updates again? Pretend to myself that this is the fix for the lock out problem and allow it to run? Or not worry about updating to "help to extend battery life" since I don't take any long trips where long distance between charges is important?

Leave your windows open just in case. I also turned off auto updates and have stayed with my Mach-E with the window down for every OTA update. Haven't had a lockout or any other major issue yet. Just a couple of annoying things like settings changes.

I did it. All good, just update manually. I guess it series of 2-4 update.

I went from great annoyance to great concern to really not worried about this. I am cautious, though. I park very carefully. I have a 10mm in my box and a color co-ordinated nylon string. I think the lockout has proven to rear its ugly head at any time. I simply got tired of worrying...
