This update was installed last night in my 2022 GT. Although I was happy as a driver once I learned to press the button by my left knee occasionally when the windows fogged up, I have come to realize winter sudden unexpected fogging is a safety problem for others. Not just my wife, who drives less often than me so isn’t as practiced on such a maneuver, but also if my kids come to visit or any other visitor in winter.

This is probably the OTA for the HVAC software that has been out since last winter (they must finally be trying to get it out before next winter).

Just got this one. Nice to see M-L's operation summary of the recirculation system. Clear and concise...as usual. Hope this fine tuning of the strategy will hit the target.

Yes, I had signed up when I bought my MME back in January, was put on the wait list, and then this very AM I got an email saying I was accepted and able to sign up for it...

Now that winter is here, I can say that this update still has not fixed the problem. I still need to press the "Max Defrost" button on occasion.

Not sure if related to the latest update that was installed a couple weeks ago but now when i turn on AC/Heat and click on recirc it would auto toggle it off after 5 mins. I would notice exhaust smells and check and it is toggled off even though I toggled it on a few mins ago. Anyone else experience this? is this by design?

Yes. Recirc is cancelled if the interior humidity is too high and about to fog the windows.

This worked for me tonight. It's the first time I noticed it. Windows started getting foggy and then they cleared. Cool.

I've seen it too. It's almost like someone who knew what they were doing set up the humidity/outside temperature algorithm... magical!

Yes, if you get fogging usually it goes away in less than 30 seconds.

The algorithm is also speed dependent for some reason. If you slow down (such as stop sign or making a turn), I've noticed it usually likes to fog up shortly afterwards for a brief time.
