My previous 21 Mach E (now I have a 23 Mach E) had the HVBJB recall and the letter from Ford only said to wait for the OTA update to fix it. I never had to change any part in the car. Maybe mine was different build? I have no idea.
The original part (launch through may of 2022) was built with a part that was "recalled" and "fixed" with SW. But the general concensus is that many (most? All?) of those parts will fail and have to be replaced as some point.

Your 2023 has the new part, so you are good (I aspire to be like a 2023 :)

Is there any way to find out how many cars out of how many built have experienced the HVBJB failure ? Is it possible that regardless of what model 2021 or 2022 build year one may never have this problem ?
I am sure Ford knows the failure rate but I doubt they are sharing that information. My guess, and this is only a guess, is there was a tolerance issue in manufacturing the part. Say + or - so many mm thickness for the contacts and it turned out those manufactured and accepted with the - thickness are failing over time. However it could be that they will all fail. I have a 22 GT with 8000 miles with no issues but I drive moderately. I know there are other posters that drive aggressively and are over 20,000 miles with no failures. Then we have at least one individual who drives very aggressively and has had his new beefier HVBJB fail recently. So I think the only people who really may know if they are all destined to fail over time is Ford Engineering and of course they can’t say anything.

Ford hasn’t published any numbers on failures, so we don’t know. We can only go by reports we see on this and other public forums, which doesn’t capture the entire population. ??

It’s entirely possible for any given VIN that has the older HVBJB to not experience the issue. I suspect the majority of RWDs will not. I also suspect that most of the GTs will eventually see the issue. I’m currently driving my GT-PE like there is an empty egg shell on the go pedal. ??

It's crazy. Can't they take parts from the manufacturing line?

I've got the HVBJB (got it in about 2 weeks for the GT part after a Copis order). But for some reason this main battery harness is in short supply. From searching the forum it doesn't appear that a lot of people are seeing a failure in this part, so I'm not sure what's going on.
Good news! I called the dealer today and the part arrived this afternoon. The BEV rep finally responded after I updated them that the part arrived. So, they are going to replace it Monday, looking forward to having my car back.

It will be interesting to see if the new HVBJB holds up or if these will require a replacement as well. Hopefully, by then more dealers will have performed the swap and Ford will have this corrected once and for all.

I am not sure what EV appeals to me as I like everything about the Mach-E.

Welp, I got my car back but I noticed this when I got home. Hopefully the conversation with the dealership is fruitful…

To the dealerships’s complete credit, they assumed responsibility. Score 1 for the good guy dealerships!
