Thanks! My original avatar showed a picture of a demo.
I just had to do it last weekend when I sold my Malibu. Now I gotta buy the MME. ;)

Not sure this belongs here but I am out! Don't get me wrong. I love the idea of this car. I loved it when I test drove it. But reading too many negative stories here and also elsewhere. I will wait before I buy it. I do not want to and cannot afford to be a beta tester. I have cancelled my order which was placed back in April. I will buy this car one day down the line when kinks are worked out in the software and hardware. For now, gonna run the Fusion into the ground. Was really looking forward to owning this car. I wish you all the best and those still waiting, I hope you get yours soon. I will keep reading this forum and staying in touch with this community. Thank you all, I have learned a lot.
See you Elan!

Another one for someone Else to buy without ordering.……
I called the dealer to cancel. They said someone will buy at a markup. They are easy to sell these days.

I would support a law that everybody must work in a restaurant when they are young and a manufacturing plant when they are old enough to buy things.

The first teaches you the importance of treating everybody with respect. The second teaches how highly complex manufacturing anything is and 100% of flaws and errors are not possible to eliminate.

and if you do get one of the issues off the manufacturing line, refer to your experience #1 on how not to behave and dealing with company employees.

I work at Boeing. We know about manufacturing issues. 737 frame is decades old and yet you saw what happened to the MAX. I get it. I just don't wanna be a tester. Just a user.

Also, I treated everyone with respect. Including the dealer when I called to cancel. I get it. It's not easy to make a new product. Ford for the most parts have hit it out of the park with the Mach E. Can't wait to see what they do with next gen and beyond.

Best of luck, only you know your tolerance for risk. I have to say, though, that it's interesting how many threads I've seen with blaring headline titles yelling about a problem, and I look at the OP and it's their first post. I daresay hanging out in a forum like this would make almost anyone leery, but the thread about people having no problems is also pretty strong.

I'm a cautious guy and have been really happy with my car. Frankly, a lot of the tech I could care less about. I get in the car and drive, and it is fabulous.

Thank you. I look forward to buying this car next year or later. I can only imagine how much more amazing it will become. I am glad you are enjoying yours. I loved it when I test drove it.

So when exactly did the 787 Dreamliner exit beta testing phase? Hoping I was a user and not a beta tester when I flew on it prior to and after the battery issue.

787 Dreamliner is an awesome aircraft btw.

You must have never heard of the 787 issues they had in the cockpit. Smoke for example. Planes almost never crash but does not mean they are problems free. Planes (I work on the military side) are built with redundancy. Hence they cost millions. Cars are not built with redundancy. If you leave your car plugged in overnight and it does not charge, you will be SOL the next day. This car will be my sole car. So excuse me while I make sure it's better than what it is today. I don't mind waiting.

Updated the profile, thanks. Not saying other EVs don't have issues. Just don't wanna be a beta tester.
I absolutely love my MME. And, for the record, I have as many issues with it as I had with my 2019 VW Tiguan as far as the infotainment and telematics systems are concerned. On that vehicle, Android Auto would freeze up or the in car nav would disappear. And the mobile app always reported that the doors were unlocked, when the app worked at all.

My MME drives great. It has worked pretty much flawlessly since I got it. I don't use PAAK because I have no issue keeping the fob in my pocket and I gave a second fob I got for $50. (Although I hear now Ford might be including two fobs going forward.) And the infotainment system actually has fewer issues than my tried and true VW, and those issues are almost all related to Android Auto/Sirius XM.

My MME was built after April 21st, which seems to be a benchmark for vehicles experiencing more issues (those built before April 21).

Sorry to hear the forum amplified a few issues to make it seem the car is less trustworthy than other new vehicles. But that definitely hasn't been my experience at all. Every vehicle I've owned has had some minor issues with it, and my MME is well within what I've experienced with new vehicles from Ford, VW, Volvo, Chevy, and Nissan. But my MME is the first vehicle, outside of my Volvo, where I actively look for excuses to drive it because it really is just that fun to drive.

I appreciate your writeup and will keep this in mind. I will order this car. But not this model year.
