My dealer only started day loaners for Ford in the past year. He’s had them for Lincoln for several years.
It’s usually an insurance issue with dealers not giving out loaners. Almost nobody here has loaners. ?‍♂

Yeah, I have no idea how they get around that. I always assumed that, if I got into an accident with their car, I’d run through my insurance first since I was using it as “my” car. For travel, I have the AmEx primary insurance pack, but that wouldn’t apply since it’s not a “rental”.

In my experience, recalls are the only thing that dealers handle without a hassle.

They should have given you a loaner charger until they confirmed the charger was defective. They could have taken your credit card info just incase you didn't return the loaner charger.

I have been having trouble with my chargepoint Home flex charger. I called them and they are sending me a new unit and then after I receive it I can return the old unit. That is customer service supreme. Why cant Ford do that also.

THIS! An anecdote from my weekend.
We go to the Beach
we renewed our annual pass in Janury
I use the app and mobile check in to the state reservation
Lovely date at the beach, ticket on windshield when I return to car
Stop at gate, show ranger my valid pass in app
he scans my plate and says, "yup its correct, not sure why it didnt register, so yeah you are fine"
then - "so go online, appeal the ticket, send x,y,z, and they should void it....
I was like "dude, you wrote the ticket, shouldnt you handle all that?"
him "sorry I dont have access"
me "so am I gonna get tickets all summer that I have to keep contesting....."
Did you look carefully at the ticket and check the license plate it was issued to?

I got a parking ticket last year and could not for the life of me figure out what I had done wrong. I even went back and checked: I was indeed parked between the zone signs, I had paid for parking in their app, and I had complied with the time ranges. And then, a few days later, I glanced down at my ticket and noticed something.

They had issued the ticket to WATTN0W. My license place is WATTNOW.

It was easy to appeal in my case. But I suspect I could have just ignored it given that if WATTN0W is a valid NJ plate, it ain't mine.

Yeah him and I double checked that and that was why he rescanned, it worked fine then. So first scan didn't register and he gave the ticket. He also said he had just written 350 tickets, I almost said you might want to double check them if mine was initially wrong too?

I knew going forward I was only going to buy EV's from now on so invested in a good plug-in charger so if I move I can take it with me. I bought the Wallbox Pulsar Plus works great. I keep the portable charger in the trunk for travel emergencies.
