I like one pedal drive in forward but prefer it off in reverse. Reason is I like to keep my foot on the brake while reversing it just feels more natural. Let off the brake to creep backwards press it to stop. Would be nice to configure that separately. It took me a bit to figure out why I was more comfortable backing up my F350 dually or any other ICE I own vs. the mme.

I have a similar situation, though it also applies to the crazy hills here in San Francisco. I setup a second profile for myself that is identical profile in every way except it has 1PD turned off. This works well since I can use the memory buttons on the driver’s door to select profile. Whenever I want 2PD I select that profile.

I second that notion. I would also turn off Auto Hold while backing up.

Great idea!

No, I believe it stays on. The car is at the dealer otherwise I'd test it.
Mine always disabled auto-hold while in reverse. But I haven't used auto-hold in a while, so maybe that changed with an update at some point. I'll have to try it again.

Auto hold is disabled in reverse.

Thanks for the confirmation. Now I won't have to enable it to verify that I'm not going crazy.
It's interesting because our 2023 explorer does use auto hold in reverse. It's annoying backing out of the garage cause you have to give the accelerator pedal a real quick tap and quick back to the brake, but not too much or autohold is back on again. Needless to say, I keep it disabled in that.

Mine is a 2023 and Auto Hold does stay on in reverse. I have the same experience as you while backing up.
