In Cabin Air Circulation Auto Disables

I read through that whole thread. There doesn't seem to be anything related to Recirculation. I think you were the last poster on that thread and the update appeared to be related to heating.

Well I forgot where we talked about it then, but those that have gotten the HVAC update have noticed a change in the recirc behavior, including myself. It’s not officially documented.

I’ve found a quasi-auto mode for the HVAC, to enter it select an Auto mode then go into the HVAC menu and select which vents you want active. Then turn the Recirculation on. The fan will still be in an Auto mode for speed. This allows control the temperature, A/C, E-Heat and recirculation with less chance of the car overriding your selection.

it's fair criticism, but it's definitely not unique to the Mach-E, nor even to Ford.

I've also noticed a recirculate stickiness improvement since getting the HVAC update...

I really wish I could. I feel the in cabin air filter doesn't even filter. I choke just driving in Lincoln Nebraska going two blocks because there is no regulation like there is in California of emissions.

A lot of people have switched to a charcoal filter that seems to help with that.

I can confirm now however, that while the recirculate setting is more sticky than it used to be, Ford still all too often turns it off if it thinks there is even the most remote chance of the windows fogging. ?

Thank you! Just ordered. (I had checked their website and it still said sold out, so I assumed that it also wasn't available on Amazon. Best not to assume, clearly.)

I turn E Heat off and it stays off most of the time.
It occasionally turns on for unknown reasons (almost always when the boss starts pushing buttons - unable to see what she does ['cause I'm driving])
