Another update - I remained in touch with Ford about the problem and gave them two videos of the screen behavior. They established another appointment with the service department of the dealership and gave special instructions to hold the vehicle and coordinate with a team at Ford, even if the screen was seemingly working properly. Luckily for me, the screen went out the morning that I was driving the car to the dealership. I don't know whether there were any codes or not, and I am also unsure how much coordination occurred between Ford's technicians and the dealership's mechanic. All I can say is that they told me that they replaced the screen; total time way from the car was six days (that includes the day I dropped off and the day I picked up, as well as a weekend). Ford had estimated 1-2 weeks, so it was nice to beat that estimate.
It's been close to a week now, and things have been flawless so far. If I can go over a week or two without the issue occurring then I'll feel pretty confident that the issue really has been fully resolved.
