Instrument cluster competently black

The instrument cluster didn't turn on, no backlight, nothing. I tried to reboot sync, but that didn't help. Anyone had this issue? Any tips to fix outside of the dealer? The car seems fine otherwise, but it seems not legal to drive without a speed indicator.

If the standard Sync reboot didn't fix it, it might be a dealer call.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe disconnect the 12V for 10 minutes or so and see if that makes a difference (keep any keys away from the car for that 10 min too). It shouldn't be a problem but do so at your own risk and so on...

Well, that sucks, it's below freezing outside, and removing the plastic is no fun. I guess I will give a dealer a call then.

If you have Forscan you could scan for the IPC module. And if it responds to the scan, you could reset it with Forscan.

I didn’t have a fuse puller, but after trying to pull out the one in the picture, and failing, I just pushed back in what little I had managed to wiggle out, and it worked.

I hope this helps save a trip to the dealer.

After a few days of downtime the thing magically fixed itself. Idk what to say lol.
