I'm so sorry you have had so many problems with the car. I am just starting the buying process. Secured financing today. I have to believe, based on the positive posts that these problems you are seeing are bugs Ford has to iron out. Don't despair, remember how excited you must have felt when you were purchasing. Once all is fixed, you will have that feeling again. Praying all repairs are done quickly and correctly.

Having access to your car for only 8 days in 8 weeks is truly disheartening- sorry.

UPDATE: After 6 weeks, the new BCM arrived and it did not fix the issue-back to the " help desk" Ford corporate customer service manager Mike is my rep, and has had little to no contact with me unless I call him, spoke to him 2 days ago and he assured he would call me back that day and let me know what Ford is going to do and I have yet to hear from him. This was before the part arrived and didn't fix the problem. Worst decision I made was to buy this POS.

Ford did expedite my BCM to Canada as it was set to arrive in the states mid to end of may, somehow it showed up today and didn’t fix the problem.
I also had my car go into deep sleep while on my 12v charger at home before this...but the batteries were all at 100 percent when they got into it.
move owned a 2017 Ford Focus electric without any trouble and can not believe the issues we are having! My car was 100 grand all in and I’ve driven it 8 days in 8 weeks! The dealership has emailed the help desk and is waiting for instruction. I am trying to return the car but because it’s been more than 30 days my car loan is set and is of course worth more than the price of the car, so someone has to figure out who’s paying for the taxes etc. I am not taking that car back! Thank goodness you haven’t handed over any money!

Well, not happy you had this issue but glad I found your thread because I now have the same problem!

Bought a first edition on April 10th. Just hopped in the car this afternoon (3 weeks later) and instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is black. Had no real problems before this. Can’t wait to go down this rabbit hole. I can get driving speed (-ish) through the Waze app and amount of charge through FordPass app; I won’t be able to see the current level of automation which might be dangerous. Frustrating as this is probably the 7th actual day of driving the thing. I’ll probably give the dealer a day before turning to social media.

I did the vol/right seek sync reset twice and the cluster did nothing while the center screen reset.

New update...my cluster works again:

After turning the car off and on and running the previously mentioned reset with no good results, I called my local dealer and was told they couldn’t look at it for a week. I started thinking about an issue I have with my laptop that plugging in the charger sometimes causes it to lock up and I have to hard reboot it. I charged the car all night last night from 94% and have 100% charge currently. So, I just now plugged the car charger in and the screen came back on. I’m not sure if it happened immediately, after unlocking the doors again, or after opening the door. I can’t be certain it’s working flawlessly at this point but it seems to be doing just fine now without the charger plugged in. I’ll let you know if it comes back.

Well lucky you if that worked-there is definitely a huge issue with the instrument clusters and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened to you again-sorry to say :(

I have had nothing but issues with my 2021 mach e premium! I have owned it for 2.5 weeks and it has spent 10 days at the dealership. The most recent problem being the instrument cluster is black and will not work-this is not the large entertainment screen, but the smaller screen that shows speedo etc.
Has anyone else had this issue? Apparently the tech worked on my car yesterday for a full day, was able to install a PCM update, but can not figure out why that screen isn't working. They have emailed the ford engineers and are waiting to hear back. Any thoughts would be appreciated, not feeling very confident in my local Ford dealership right now!
I had the same problem a few days ago, I pulled over a few times and turned the car on and off...nothing changed. After being home for an hour with the car plugged in I tried it and it was fine again and has been working 100% ever since.
I would like to think that like Tesla they downloaded a fix, only time will tell

Oh interesting. That hasn’t worked for mine-and now they are replacing the actual instrument cluster. Again, like the BCM, no delivery date, no clue where the part is, just a whole lot of sit and wait.

I have a different problem. Twice this week, only half the main screen came alive (the left half). The problem does not prevent me from driving and corrected itself after about a minute. Just wondering if anybody else has seen this?

Got my car back finally yesterday after 9 weeks in the shop!
put it in my stage 2 home Charger, went to drive it half an hour later
Threw a service vehicle code and kept asking if the car was still plugged in!
turned the car on and off and it cleared-from my Google it looks like this is an issue with them.
went to get in it today to drive my kids to school-
Deep sleep AGAIN!!! After it’s been updated and apparently fixed.
Back to the dealer we go.
