Button on the left side of steering wheel looks like a road when off all three drive modes have different screens
We’ve tried telling people this - multiple times ?‍♂

But again, Lane Keep wasn’t on. You can tell by the lack of lines along the sides of the car image.

Can Somebody with a 2023.5 car please check to see if the speedo can still be moved to the middle?
If there are black lines on either side of the car outline in the middle of the screen, then lane keeping assist is most certainly turned ON! If those lines are a color other than grey (green or red), then it is detecting a lane on that side.

Update from Ford! I got through on the phone and connected with several people from their IVT department who say 100% this is a glitch. There has been no update (nor to his knowledge is there one expected) where their vehicle should remain in the centre of the instrument cluster when Lane Assist is turned off. They suspect there is a communication error that will have to be resolved. As you can see in the photo below (posted again) there is no graphic that should exist of the car with no lines around it or other indicators. So, they are in touch with the tech dept at the local dealership to try to sort it. I will post an update.

Thank you everyone who chimed in and tried to help! Glad I was persistent and found the right person to help! BTW, I am in Canada the person who they found after long holds and transfers is in Florida.

“MyKey” is a total misnomer. It is intended for valets and younger drivers hat you don’t want speeding or blasting the stereo. Whomever at Ford came up with that name needs to be placed in a small, dark place with small, hungry carnivores present. ??
It was designed during the MySpace era. MyKey was supposed to be a cool name designed to appeal to late 2000’s teens. Yes they should rename it because nobody knows what it means.

what happens if you enable cruise control without setting a speed? That is the only way for my speedo to move to the center and show the drive mode animations.

Hey. This vehicle is at the dealership right now, but since it has less than 100km on it, I assume no speed has been set for Cruise Control :)

In the settings under Pre-Collision Assist, make sure Distance Indication is turned off or this car icon will remain on your display regardless of cruise control or lane keeping being disabled.
Verified this is true:

Settings-> Driver Assistance -> Pre-collision -> Distance Indication -> Off

Distance indicator On:

Hi all, this is my first post. I am about to buy my 2nd Mach-e (premium x range) and the one at the dealership is brand new, just built and there is something new... and I am wondering if anyone has heard rumblings of Ford changing the layout of the instrument cluster or if it is a glitch. It is software version 23151.

As you can see, the speedometer in this vehicle is permanently on the right, the way it would have been if you had activated the Lane Centering. There is a way for me to turn lane centering on and off, but the little car stays there and the speedometer is on the right. No settings or anything to change it to the middle now. I have asked the dealership and they think this is just how the new software is.

So, is it a glitch or is this rolling out? Thank you all for the input!

I picked mine up at the end of June and that's always been the layout.

Yes! Please post a photo of your instrument cluster when you can. It has been confirmed to me by Ford that this layout above, with no lines around the car, is a glitch. You should be able to change this layout by following the suggestions as to how that have been shared earlier in this thread. It is quite easy to do so.

So I do get the lines when I turn on lane keep assist. I was more referring to the speedo placement.

Hi,

So, the blue block you have on top of the car when lane assist is off means you have to turn off a couple of things to get the speedometer into the middle. If I understand correctly, your cruise control/drivers assistance is still activated.

In the settings under Pre-Collision Assist, make sure Distance Indication is turned off or this car icon will remain on your display regardless of cruise control or lane keeping being disabled.
