Have you confirmed in person that the Distance Indicator is turned off? And Lane Keep Assist is also off? It is one thing to rely on what your salesman said, and even a FaceTime video, but it's better to actually conform it in person if you can.Awesome! ... now let's hope they can fix mine .... hahahaha.
He posted a picture showing no lane keep lines, no distance indicator blue box, and no cruise control enabled. Yet, the car icon was still there. I feel like this thread is going around in circles.Have you confirmed in person that the Distance Indicator is turned off? And Lane Keep Assist is also off? Yes. Confirmed by me, sales person, technicians, Ford in the US who is working with the technicians to figure out a fixHave you confirmed in person that the Distance Indicator is turned off? The saga continues! After hearing from Ford that this is an error, the technicians here found no error codes at all = nothing to fix. THEN, today 3 Mach-e's came into the dealership all of which, according to my sales rep, have this screen and can not be toggled into a centre speedometer.Update from Ford! I got through on the phone and connected with several people from their IVT department who say 100% this is a glitch. There has been no update (nor to his knowledge is there one expected) where their vehicle should remain in the centre of the instrument cluster when Lane Assist is turned off. They suspect there is a communication error that will have to be resolved. As you can see in the photo below (posted again) there is no graphic that should exist of the car with no lines around it or other indicators. So, they are in touch with the tech dept at the local dealership to try to sort it. I will post an update.
Thank you everyone who chimed in and tried to help! Glad I was persistent and found the right person to help! BTW, I am in Canada the person who they found after long holds and transfers is in Florida.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the "technicians" at Ford are not up to speed on changes/updates.The saga continues! I will go tomorrow and see. BUT if this is true... I suppose it is safe to buy this car? We are now assuming this is the new normal... even though I prefer a centre speedometer display
Thoughts? It is disheartening to get two separate stories...
Since I always have the driver assist features turned on, my speedometer has been to the right for the entire 40+ months of driving the car. You get used to it. I don’t even notice any more. I wouldn’t let this stop me from buying the car if it checks your other boxes. The saga continues! Appreciate that! I do prefer it in the middle but I love this car so much, I am definitely going for it. I just needed to make sure it wasn't a glitch since it was the first one like this any of us had seen...Since I always have the driver assist features turned on, my speedometer has been to the right for the entire 40+ months of driving the car. Unfortunately yes.@LuckyBudd any update on this? Someone with a 23 on one of the FB groups mentioned he has the same issue. I’m wondering if it’s an intentional change and the rest of us are going to be inflicted with it when the instrument cluster portion of the BC 1.3 update rolls out.
Well that sucks. Ford continues to ruin the UI of this car. May mean that I disable updates on my car. I do not like the car icon always being there. It also means you lose the battery bar in engage and the orange glowing lines in engage.Unfortunately yes.
Initially, Ford contacted me to say they thought it was a glitch, then I got this message: "After a thorough internal investigation regarding this situation with the Mustang Mach-E’s instrument cluster displaying the speedometer to the right of the screen, we would like to inform you that this feature is now considered normal behavior and does not impact the vehicle’s present or future functioning. "
I urge anyone to leave feedback as it really is pretty lame. There is a car taking up much of the instrument cluster that gives no info nor seems to serve any purpose. Otherwise, car rocks!
I agree. This is what the orange lines look like in Unbridles now. You always have the battery indicator on the side.... I found it more fun and a better experience with the Speed in the middle like yours..Well that sucks. Ford continues to ruin the UI of this car. May mean that I disable updates on my car. Im very disappointed in Ford.
