I'm sure people are going to vehemently disagree with me but if they are going to build forward looking radar into every car (They should), they should absolutely force everyone to have that layout showing if you are following too closely.

Day to day it is one of the safety features of the car that I find most helpful about making my driving habits safer.

If that was enabled, there would be an ugly blue square in front of the car picture.

I will check when I go to the dealership tomorrow... but I am pretty sure he turned off everything. I will def try!

The car in the dispaly will go away once distance indicators are tuned off in settings, if a car was detected in front of you then the blue square will turn to red if too close.
as others have said if you have any driver assistant tuned on the car appears instead of the default mph and the pulsing yellow lines with engage turned on, in the other modes the battery gauge will move over under the MPH

That’s not how mine works. When I have the distance indicator enabled, the blue box is always there. That’s why I leave it off.

Ya, in my old car this would have worked. For some reason this car, any maybe it is the brand new software update, it will no go away even with all settings off. That's why I am thinking it is a deeper glitch OR it is part of the new update...

Hi all, this is my first post. I am about to buy my 2nd Mach-e (premium x range) and the one at the dealership is brand new, just built and there is something new... and I am wondering if anyone has heard rumblings of Ford changing the layout of the instrument cluster or if it is a glitch. It is software version 23151.

As you can see, the speedometer in this vehicle is permanently on the right, the way it would have been if you had activated the Lane Centering. There is a way for me to turn lane centering on and off, but the little car stays there and the speedometer is on the right. No settings or anything to change it to the middle now. I have asked the dealership and they think this is just how the new software is.

So, is it a glitch or is this rolling out? Thank you all for the input!

I have a 2021 Premium ME. Since I got the car new my center screen has always been the same with car in center and speed icon on th e right just as shown on your attached photo. Regardless of a setting changes I’ve made.

Same with this new one... yet almost all Mach e's are not like this. Let's see if we can find out why

YES! This is exactly what it is supposed to do. In the one they are looking to sell me, there is no way to put the speedometer back into the centre, even with pushing that button. It should be simple! So, I am wondering if it is a glitch that can be fixed
