Recently my car defaulted to guest profile with no driver assist functions.
On the instrument cluster, all of a sudden there was this really cool fractal animation in unbridled mode.
I changed the drive mode and in whisper there's this really cool wave animation that takes up the whole screen.
In engage mode, there's....a really boring battery bar. But that's another topic.

However as soon as you turn a driver assist on, or put on some navigation, the animation disappears (except for the top corners that are typically covered for me by the steering wheel)

Is there any way to modify what is being shown, without modifying what options are turned on? Most other cars you can scroll through a couple different things to display on the little screen in front.
Can we have the fractal or wave animation in engage mode? The battery bar is boring, not to mention it implies that people concerned with range should use that mode exclusively.
While I'm at it, is there any way to control the ambient lighting color so it isn't dependent on drive mode? I like blue, but I also like unbridled (red) mode.

Unfortunately, there isn't much customization available. There used to be a setting to enable automatically changing the ambient lighting to match the drive mode. That setting seems to have been removed though. Or maybe it just moved to a different menu.....I haven't tried to look for it.

It seems to be gone from everywhere. I haven't looked for it by scrounging every possible location, but haven't found it in any sensible locations. It's annoying they removed that feature.

Yeah, it seems like a weird thing to remove.

Hmm. I am not able to check right now but I could swear in our '22 that the auto ambient lighting is still there as of last week, as well as custom ambient lighting. For example, I set mine to green while the wife's is orange, that way it is pretty obvious if it loads the wrong profile (which it still does all the time!) and we need to press the profile button on the door.

there is no way I am aware of to customize the content, colors, or layout of the instr display.

you CAN however use a phone app like Carscanner in combination with a ODB2 reader to display whatever you want on your phone. Search on threads for 'CarScanner'.....
