We have the opportunity to charge for free for short periods of time - I go to the gym early this morning and plug into a level 2 for an hour and get say 7 KWh charge. My wife goes swimming at a state park and can plug in to a level 2 for a couple of hours and say gets a 13 KWh charge. And on, doing short charges all week. This is mostly done when the battery is between 40% and 70%, and we only charge up to 90% when we know we'll need it for a trip, typically on a weekend.

Is this bad for the battery? Should we target doing bigger / longer charges to 90% and skip the short charges?

We also are only charging at 24 amps, 240 VAC (~6 KW) at home for various reasons. Other than charging slowly, I assume that is fine for the battery, right?

ABC: always be chargin'. Especially when it's free.

I think shorter L2/L1 charge cycles are better, less heat build up (and sustained heat) than longer charging sessions.
