I tried buying a Mach E 3 years ago and my wife shut it down. We were just about to have our third and she said we needed a car with three rows. Well, after that Mazda broke down countless times in less than 30K she realized the extent of the mistake we made.

Anyway, allow me to introduce Evergreen, 2025 Premium. I went into the dealership planning to purchase the GT. I was very impressed by the GT even if I thought it was too fast, but I didn't realize the GT came with cloth seats, and lacked the ventilated seats. I also couldn't get one in Eruption Green with the Performance package wheels and glass roof. Therefore, I walked away with premium with everything I was looking for but the wheels.

I've put on only 300 miles since purchase but so far am loving it. I did have a question, I bought the sunroof shade because I saw it recommended but mine came tinted and am curious if it's really needed?

I live in the Atlanta area and have a sunshade I use most of the year. To me it makes a big difference, but my wife is indifferent.

After the 104 days I'm going to keep it. My daughter just loves looking at the "sky." She's only 2 and I cannot wait to take her camping so we can go stargazing. Going to have to get out of DC though, too much light pollution.

Many posts validate that the roof doesn't need to be tinted or have a shade in Arizona, Texas, Florida, ...

I use the shade in mine all of the time, but have found that the front windows need tinting to back seat levels FAR more than the sun shade is needed. I've not felt the sun on me through the sun roof, even with the shade not in it, but when the sun is on me while I'm driving through the driver side window, my arm bakes. Of course, every vehicle I've had in the past 13 years has had the front windows tinted to the same level as the back, so once I get the extra funds I'm getting the windows tinted on this. I still like using the screen on the sun roof only for when it's sitting out in the sun when we're not in it. It does minimally help keep it from getting unbearable when out for a while. Of course, getting the front windows tinted will help with that too, I suppose.

Oh, and definitely like the green! My wife got the same color and it looks fantastic. I wanted the GT, and red was the only color aside from the weird gray/blue that was available in my area when I got it, so I went with that for mine.

I tinted mine on the second day of ownership. I don't play the no-tint life. I have chronic migraines but also, I don't care to be baked all the time either.

Is definitely on my list of "todo" along with the PPF for the front. Biggest expense recently was getting the Enphase charger and installation cost, and that only eats into my pay this month.. I don't drive a lot, typically, so I can deal with it a couple months, but it will definitely be done before the end of the year for sure!

Or do like me. Prestart the car and have it cooled off about 10 minutes before you board.

I have a guy coming today to do a quote but he said NMT $700 for the install and then Ford's recommended company is coming Wednesday for their quote. But I chose to go with more money off and they ended up giving the install for free too.

I do that, but find that while driving and the rest of the cabin is cool, my left arm gets a bit toasty being in the direct sun. A couple hundred to not have to deal with that is worthwhile, especially considering I've been used to it for over a decade.

My father worked for an electrical contractor his whole career, and I still know people who work there. Total job was 1500, but I had them do additional work while they were working on the panel (wife wanted some extra outlets in various parts of the garage and outside), so overall was extremely happy with the price all things considered, and I know they are a reliable company. Doesn't hurt that my father helped found the company 40 some years ago, and I still know the owner on a first name basis in case they did something wrong šŸ˜„.I'd rather deal with someone I know like that than have to worry about who Ford picks for the contractor to install.

I ceramic tint all of the glass, including the roof. kills the IR feelingAlso, I do use the Roof Sunscreen during the summer days because I find that it does help a little with heat rejection just from the glass getting hot and radiating heat.

You might also want to look into getting WPF (Windshield Protection Film). The windshield chips pretty easy (just like Tesla and others). @markboris has both installed. I wish I did. I have tiny little chips across my windshield.

Awesome color! And how are you fitting everyone else in there with the monstrous sized baby seats. Either way...well played!

I do wish Ford would give us the option like Hyundai/Kia to have a retractable cover over the sunroof. I have a shade over mine for the wife. I really don't care either way. I rarely get to star gaze out of the roof, I'm driving!!!

I’ve tinted my front windows to match the back windows. It definitely helps with the midday sun. It also makes a big difference at night but not in a good way. I don’t actually find myself driving much at night anymore, but it’s a noticeable difference in visibility, especially when turning left. I sometimes drop the window to see better.

I don’t have a shade for the panoramic roof and don’t feel like I need one. The coating seems to work pretty well.
