I'm skeptical about the usefulness of this. I never try voice commands anymore because it didn't recognize 90% of the things I asked it to do. If this is a way to remedy that problem, I'll give it a try. I still feel like the touch screen is as dangerous as a person being on their phone.

This may become an indispensable tool one day (but today is definitely not that day).
I’m still waiting for the day when someone tries to use Siri on their phone to search something and it
1. Works the first time

And

2. Is faster and more accurate than me pulling up google.

15 years after Siri first introduced and I still haven’t seen the above come to reality.

In fact I haven’t seen a single voice prompt on any technology consistently work.

AI seems like the latest tech that I’m constantly disappointed with. 🤷‍♂️

I’d settle for them allowing PaaK or remote climate control in New Zealand, and all the stuff already working everywhere else. I don’t need AI to assist me in packing the car, unless it has an attached robot arm, I need the existing services enabled for me.

“AI” is the new “green” and “climate change” for corporate advertising. It’s a fad. It’ll fade. People are already starting to see that AI is not capable of critical thinking, only pattern recognition and agreeable mimicry. @Ford Motor Company should stop chasing fads and focus on making reliable, intuitive products.

AI is just an annoying filler until GAI & SAI get here. Then we are pretty much doomed. Enjoy it while you can. 🙂

We all have our preconceived notions about things. Personally, I'm not a fan of AI in general. When I Google, I scroll past the AI crap at the top to look for information, not interpretation. I may scroll back and look at the AI results later.

I'll take a look at Ford's attempt at shoving AI down my throat. If I like it I'll use it, otherwise no.

At 74, I don't expect to live long enough to see good AI.

I use the Ford Assistant in the car for most car related things. I use Siri for music and often for directions on Apple Maps. Oddly, Siri is better at understanding Hawaiian words, while Ford is far better at pronouncing them. Go figure.

I'm old, not from the tech world, but still interested. Been carefully using AI in my writing, rewriting, grammar check, etc. If it is simple enough, I'll give it a try. We might not even have a choice unless you're willing to shut off all your wireless updates.

I’d like to ask the AI Assistant why I have to tap into Settings to open my trunk. How about Ford just focus on offering Real Intelligence when it comes to rectifying dumb design decisions? Paging @Ford Motor Company
Respectfully - is there a question for me (Brian) to answer here or are we just using me as a punching bag? Don't worry, I can take it.

Ai has been native in my Powerboost and Mach-E for 6 years combined.

I have a couple of granddaughters that use it EVERY DAY. They, in fact, taught me to use it for things I otherwise would have never tried.

Alexa, route me to Surfside beach access road #2 (amazing option, by the way)

Alexa, how long would it take to walk to the moon? (they are growing up in a world where your car can answer any question that might tickle your fancy. I LOVE to hear the things they ask Alexa)

Alexa, play Die with a smile. (Followed by "Pawpaw, turn it up!" [they are 6&7 and love the skating rink music])

So if this new Ai can meet or beat the Ai that Ford already equipped my Fords with, I'm all in. But it has to be better than Alexa. And that would be awesome!

I don't consider Alexa or Google Assistant AI. I never use Alexa, but I use Google Assistant at times. "Turn off Family Room Lights". That's voice recognition, it existed long before AI.

I was offered the ability to turn on Alexa+, and I declined.
