Who here is running the Betas, and how is FordPass and PAAK doing?

I haven’t run iOS betas since I got my MME 3 years ago because I rely on PAAK, but iOS 18 has me curious.

no issues here on beta 1 and 2. I just installed 3, but I have not tested it yet.

I should add that I may or may not be a beta tester for fordpass, but if I was, I would likely be testing the beta version of it so consider that.

Sorry, you are correct. I read that wrong the other day. Developer beta is pretty solid; that said, it's still a beta.

Yeah I’ll wait for the public Beta in a few weeks.

I am running the iOS 18 beta. No issues with PAAK, but I had some trouble with CarPlay. The other day, my wife was in the car, and CarPlay latched onto her phone instead of mine. Since then, my phone would connect to CarPlay, but there was no volume on the music, even after rebooting the phone and rebooting Sync. This morning, I went to the car and removed my phone from the list of Phones in CarPlay, and had a little trouble re-adding it -- the pairing kept failing. But it finally re-paired with the car on the third attempt, and I have audio from Apple Music again.

I always run the Beta's and have had no real issues to speak of but I normally have my fob with me. When I haven't, PAAK has been fine. CarPlay has been mostly solid but has dropped the connection a couple of times which has never happened before.

I am not running the beta on my iPhone but been having this same issue you described since Ford updated the app. Regularly my iPhone connects to the car without volume and disconnecting then reconnecting sometimes addresses the issue. Other times I have to turn the car off and on to get CarPlay to work. I was hoping iOS 18 would resolve this issue. I have a developer account, but I don't use production/personal devices to run beta software.

I had issues with PAAK when I installed beta 1.
Still had issues with beta 2. Deleted PAAK from my app, added it back and no more issues. I installed beta 3 this morning and haven’t had a chance to go out to my car yet as I work overnight. I’ll update my comment when I know if it works okay or not.

I can't access most of the settings in the app. It just slides back to the Home Screen.

It sounds like this is a known issue with Beta 3.

I wonder how the public beta is doing.

PB1 is the same as DB3, so I would expect the same issue. I don't go near the betas until late August or September since I don't have a dedicated development device.
