Is the MME emitting lasers?!?

Ok this is weird, I hardwired the escort passport max radar detector using the excellent guide in the DIY section and now it’s getting laser alerts randomly (or so I think is random) swapped out the detector for the passport 9500ix from my wife’s car and got the same thing but not at the same places... which leads me to believe that there is a laser emitter somewhere in the car?!? Please tell me I’m not crazy...

I don't know if it's accurate, but I'm told that the sensors that watch your eyes to see if you're watching the road interfere with the laser detection function on Escort products. Im told that.the only ones that would work are the remote Escort that mounts on the front license plate wired to inside your car.
