Is there a good CarPlay weather app? I searched the forum but cold weather driving overloaded my searching results.

Two i use are Weatherology And My Radar. There is a paid app that’s a nav and weather ovelayed but im not paying for that. (Car play weather Navovation is that app)

Also if you have the connected nav subscription from ford, the Ford Nav has weather info also.

Simply ask Siri for the weather forecast in any part of the world and she reads the forecast right from the Apple Weather app. We do it all of the time. One of the nicest CarPlay features.

Example 1: Hey Siri! What is the weather forecasted for Duluth, Minnesota this coming Friday?
Example 2: Hey Siri! When is the rain here supposed to start? (Siri knows your GPS location).

Here in Duluth we would say "Lake or Hill?" Lakeside is typically 10F cooler in summer (and warmer in winter) than on top of the hill. This weekend looks nice, btw.

I've been using CarPlay daily since I bought a Ford Escape with CarPlay in 2018 and I've nearly always requested and received a weather report each day while I'm driving to work. I will use Siri this morning to check the weather for my bicycle ride along the coast (now that I am retired) from my 2023 Bolt EUV. I have never gotten a result back like you posted, but a few times I've asked Siri for something rather obvious like who played the leading lady in The Sound of Music, for example, and I've had Siri reply that "I cannot show you that while you are driving". Simply asking the question a second time generally fixes the problem, though. A fairly rare and minor bug, I guess ...

I second “My Radar.” I’ve used it for years, in aviation, at home, for hurricane tracking and now, in the car as well. Works great.

That website is amazing for all things hurricane related and aggregated data from dozens of other sites.

How do you get MyRadar to automatically play the animation (over the last hr or so) on CarPlay? I only see a still picture.

It doesn’t play the loop in Apple CarPlay. It will just update the picture every 5 minutes (?) maybe.

OK thanks but this is not very useful to see if a storm is developing into something bigger, direction it's traveling, etc. Weather here is Colo changes fast.
