Thanks to Earth Day, I tried to fast charge (150kwh) fully while shopping at a mall for the first time.
Started at 7:08pm with 19%
Alerted at 7:45pm that I reached 80%
Finished charging at 8:14pm when the battery was 97%

According to a test I have read, it is supposed to take 100 minutes from 80% to 100%. Is this discrepancy due to some latest update?

It is also quite interesting that Ford Pass first estimated it will be charged full at 10 pm or so which is very far from the truth. I wonder if there is a real-world test of how long it takes from 80 to 90, and 90 to 100 with DC charger. Faster is better on highways, but for shopping or restaurant I prefer it not too quick and 2 hours or so seems a sweet spot. Now can I assume 80 to 100 is like less than an hour on 150kwh?

If you have a more recent build, have an older build with 21P22 update, or an older build that got the recent EA BlueCruise updates, you'll get faster charging above 80%.

You used to get about ~10kW or less after 80% but with the update, you get 35-50kW which makes quite a big difference.

When I read your subject headline, I wanted to be super annoyed since my car won’t get a 70% charge in 8 hours right now with the FMC.

It’s nice that the DCFS is relatively fast and free this weekend! Especially when you can do it while doing something you were already planning!

It is rare that I do it, but once I was about to make a long trip and I really wanted to be at 100%. I plugged into a 50kW DCFC and went from 80% to 99% in exactly 51 minutes. Was pretty pleased with the speed of it.

Cool! I think 0 to 80 is quite robust as 47 minutes. So 0 to 100 should be an hour and 40 minutes, perfect for a meal at a legit restaurant.

Your experience will vary so keep that in mind while planning.
