My JuiceBox like many aftermarket chargers has an internet connection to my local network in my house. It really, in general, performs no function other than to provide information as the charging schedule/limits are set in FordPass. It does have some internal control as I’ve found out. Some nearby construction resulted in me losing my Wi-Fi for the past two days. The first night, I plugged the car in to the JuvieBox set to charge from 11pm to 7am. The next morning I found out that no charging took place!
As I went through stuff I noted that JuiceBox said in the fine print it would not charge if NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET! So beware it you have charger that connects to your Wi-Fi. Last night I disconnected the JuiceBox and hooked the Ford charger that came with the car. See the end result.
