Jump Started OTAs?

I did the FDRS updates and also got the 6.14 update almost immediately afterwards. Also got the latest ECG-24.2.4.9.1 earlier than most. I would think if the inventory check sees you have everything required for an update already then it's an easy decision to send it.

Also If you have a laptop (or PC with a long USB cord) you can get away with just the cord and power supply for $680 (plus the $50 weekend FDRS licence)

Wow that powersupply is substantially less expensive than the Clore 6100 that I see a lot of folks recommend. And this one will do the sustained 40amp continuous output as well?

I did the super long driver monitor camera FDRS update with it and no issues. Battery stayed above 13v the whole time. Just make sure you have quality cables to the battery so they don't melt.

I have this one as well and can confirm it has been rock solid for me.

After not receiving updates since March, I called OTA support at ford. They had me do a full reset of the infotainment center (as in delete all saved settings) and clear all data from my FordPass app, and that got me unstuck. After a few days of nothing, I’ve been getting 1-2 updates a day including 6.14.

A year or so ago i really wanted the Frunk Button (‘21 premium that didnt have it yet) so Had someone on here with the FDRD install that for me. Worked great. Then there was one other pending update and we did that but it kept timing out So we didnt do it. Then on my way home i found out my BC wasn’t working. Had to take it to the dealer for. Them to correct the software. So I’m a little leary to do that on my own now.

I've been tempted to do the same. Just curious if you did a Master Reset and if so did you have to go into your connected services and cancel all trials? Would you be able to get them back like Blue Cruise, Nav, etc?

Ironically, yes. We have to pay Ford for access to apply the updates we should be getting free via the OTA process. Go figure.

Don't have FDRS - got ECG and 6.14 just this week.

I used a set of heavy duty jumper cables and cut them to a good length and crimped them on.

Gotcha. So the end of the jumper cables can be cut and inserted into the terminals on this PS..
