This is a 3rd party app that I'm sure Ford was either fully funded to develop or was given the app to install. It also has pay options, so Ford is incentivized to promote this.

I'm sure their regular development team is still working on improvements, this is just a collaboration they might be testing.

A few years ago, in a conference room far, far away...Farley was raving at some execs about how some Chinese car he benchmarked had a karaoke app. Next thing you know, some sad sack had to beg\borrow\steal rights to a 3rd party karaoke app because Ford's in-house developers wanted 30 developers and said it would take them six years to make it from scratch. Then the biz-dev negotiators had to earn their paychecks by having one side insert a clause enabling Ford to cancel the contract if customers yawned at the feature, so the other side inserted a requirement that Ford boost the app to their owners to educate them about its availability, and next thing you know, a bunch of crusty old Boomers and Gen-Xers are making fun of them on the Interwebz. All this because some Chinese teenagers once posted a TikTok of them rocking out to each other's renditions of ABBA's Dancing Queen at stop lights and some Chinese marketer saw an opportunity to make some renminbi…

the last update I got was sometime last year, that was to help improve the delivery of updates....meanwhile it completely broke the driver facing cam so bc and lane centering no longer function

I love this car.
The user interface has become my number one annoyance and I really hate that I can't customize the visible apps on the big screen.

Because, FORD.... IMHO, the karaoke would be the FIRST app to disappear from my screen. Forever. That's the improvement I want. Just for starters

Yeah… you’re missing the point completely. Many of us find it irritating that @Ford Motor Company is devoting so many resources to this - including now spamming us with two email campaigns about it - instead of providing any one of dozens of common sense features we have been asking for for years.

I bought my MME last July and am loving it. There are issues brought up in these forums that I have as well. Some relatively minor, others a bit more significant. A lot of them are more informational in nature (I want to be able to see <thing> on my display).

The fact that I have received 2 separate emails from ford about “Karaoke improvements” seems ridiculous. This seems like an odd thing to be directing resources to.

I finally set it up after that first email, its awesome in my driveway, but its useless when driving. This weekend on a road trip, flipped on my phone mobile hot spot, que'd up Welcome to the Jungle, my kids in the back seat all excited, but no lyrics display while driving. Is the expectation I am just sitting in my car while charging doing this? How ridiculous would that be.

I read somewhere that a passenger could bring up lyrics on their phone. I believe there is a QR code or something?

I'm guessing that Stingray Karaoke is collecting our data and Ford is getting paid for it. That's why they are offering this instead of a useful upgrade.

I agree with you, but apparently car karaoke is very popular. Tesla is proud of their karaoke feature to and it's often mentioned in updates.

I wish they would devote more resources to bringing features that a lot of people are asking for... Like dog/pet/camp modes, improved information on the displays and more optimized interface with better accessibility for climate controls and such. They are bringing some of the features like the much improved charging information display on the 2025's. It's too bad some of these things only come to the new model years and are not added to prior. Ford is still in the mindset of using model year differentiation to gate-keep new features that could easily be rolled out to existing vehicles.

Chinese cars have karaoke. I am thinking this is to compete with the Chinese. Useless in America and gimmicky. In my opinion it makes the vehicle seem cheaper. I too wish they devoted their time on something that would have wowed the most of us.

No, ai got it, I just think it's kinda the apex of first world problems. And because they sent you an app doesn't mean they aren't working on other improvements at the same time. Also "Swarmed" with emails??? Really?
