That is great news! I am a few hours away from trading in my GT for GTPE....now wondering if I would rather keep my GT and pay the difference on after market suspension based on how well it works.

What did it cost to install? I was quoted $1500 - $2000 to install and they said they would need to redo alignment. They are a suspension shop.
What is interesting is my Mach-E Y axis on the GT was basically all negative meaning it was constantly pitched while my Highlander Y axis goes back and forth. Maybe it was wrong but I used the Z axis for my comparison when I test drove a few cars.

is that on top of the part cost? i am in UK so this may not be like for like, but my install (labor) costs was ÂŁ350.

Yea that was install cost. They didn’t know what it would take but seems like a fairly easy job if they just bolted them on.

$1500-2000 is very hefty. I'm reaching out to a few people with hope to get you a quality installer at a lower cost. It's like 4 hours labor, max.

yeah, i can share the two CSVs i got .. but i am not sure how much sense they make. the AccelView app plays in both portrait and landscape mode but it is readable in landscape. however, when placing the phone, i placed it in portrait since that takes least space.

what does that do to the readings? i have no clue.

i looked up my Z axes readings for these two downloads and they don't make much sense to me. the AFTER reading is much higher.

oh yeah, 1.5-2k is very expensive. i gave my car at 10.30 am and got it at 1 pm.

granted, they didn't do the alignment but i wasn't interested in finer tuning.

i basically called various KW dealers in UK and found these folks close to home. they had great reviews and were happy to order for me with no markup on parts cost.

i went with them.

btw, they DID take some pics!

folks - please don't buy KWs just because of my post :). my experience and needs will be different to everyone else's.

if anything, @connoisseurr is going about this much more methodically than me. his experience and findings will be interesting but i am very confident his AFTER experience will be similar to mine.

Well... you're one better review than what we've already seen from the other member who installed, then ghosted us :D

I'm still a few weeks out on installation - dealing with some household issues and can't get away for a weekend to get up to Philly to get my shit done.

I would only switch to GTPE w/magnaride if you tested one out and it solved all ride issues for you. Magnaride will be better to some degree, and you can change settings on the fly, but some owners still speak of ride issues. It would suck if you spent the money to switch and were still unhappy about the ride. At that point your not taking out the magnaride, you are probably just selling the car. For my GT on order I went with the base GT knowing that I have at least the KW aftermarket option that is completely adjustable to my taste and motion sickness. The only downside is that you can't adjust them while driving down the road. (Well, unless we figure out a way to add some servos to the knobs and a controller of some sort. )

My GTPE definitely still has some ride issues.

I was recommended the following:
  • Race Consulting Agency does a lot of Tesla work
  • Olsen Motor Sports is another trustworthy shot
  • Consider driving to Indiana and having Driver's Gallery do the install

Just FYI, the Rancho RS 9000 remote control system I had in my 4Runner used an air compressor and diverter valves to do on the fly adjustments. Not sure how KW handles the mechanical adjustments, but the Rancho knobs nest moved a slider in and out of the damper, which changed the valving. If KW handles it the same way, this kind of system could be fitted. ?‍♂?

I just took the GTPE on the roads I hate. While better it wasn’t as much of an improvement as I hoped for.

Plus my wife hated the seats and not being able to reach back and the reduced cushion in the back seat.

I recorded some data will have to try and put together a comparison. But seems like Mache just can’t handle expansion cracks well. I am coming from more SUVs so different car and not sure my expectations make sense.

I just now noticed the Flickr gallery...

Curious that their photos didn't show the KW rear springs being installed. Did you confirm that they actually put those in? Photos show a black OE spring, where the KW springs are yellow.

Also, hows the ride being that low? The photos in the gallery show the car just coming out of the shop so it will continue to settle some more.
