I bought a used 2023 premium AWD/LR with around 18000 miles a couple of months ago and for a first electric car its been great. Like many other owners I decided to to follow the forum advice and bought the rally springs/sway bars. I went to install today and the rear motor is wet with oil, looks like it may be an axle seal. Off to the dealer I go...

Luckily it should be covered under the 5 yr/60,000 mile Powertrain warranty...

I had an oil leak in my rear motor, the dealer found it when doing the HVBJB recall. It was covered under warranty.

What did they find was leaking?
They replaced a seal, but I do not know which one. I never noticed any oil in my garage, so I assume it was a small leak.

Got it back from the dealer today and I am happy to report a drama free experience from Phil Long Lincoln in Colorado Springs. It was an axle seal leak and was covered under warranty. Only issue is the paperwork states they topped it off with 75w gear oil and my understanding it is supposed to be ULV ATF (I don't think they had to add much). Hopefully a typo and I will check when they open.

Well at least it wasn’t 140W gear oil because 140 doesn’t flow as well. No mention of added friction modifier? Haha!
