Lectron Adapter Shipment Reality

For whatever it’s worth… I ordered a Lectron Adapter on February 29. Waited 4 weeks and sent an inquiry. Response on March 29 suggested shipment during the first week of April. Inquired again today. Now… They are expecting to fulfill the order by the end of May. So keep this in mind as you consider placing an order for the product. Good luck.

I ordered on my Lectron adapter the same day as you. My order is still marked as unfulfilled. I will most likely cancel my order if the Ford adapter or the A2Z arrive first. I have all three on order. My Ford adapter is scheduled for May. A2Z is currenly showing about a one month delivery date from order placement. If that is true, I should receive my A2Z adapter this month (ordered on March 20, 2024)

A2Z's timeline would be from when you ordered, not if you ordered today.

I've got a Lectron March 1st order. I keep getting the " we are shipping in march" Message.
Got tired of the runaround from Lectron so I ordered an A2Z April 1st. Told it will ship next week.
My Ford adapter is due in June.
I also have a Rivian so another coming from them. They are shipping by Vin#. Mine is below 200 so will be first group sent out. We've checked the box on April 4th email that we want our adapter. No Ship timeline yet. So the race is on! which will arrive first and who's will be sent back.

A2Z delivered in 3 weeks and very happy - perfect experience with Tesla SC.

Lectron I keep getting messages that they are trying to fulfill pre-sale before filling pre-orders.

Now I'm hoping Lectron will focus on replacing the faulty ones.

Mine was a pre-sale from nov 2nd and received today. It wouldn't lock on supercharger side, they got back to me within an hour and I dropped at USPS today. They say I will have the replacement within a week.
I was just going to keep it but since I do not have any trips coming up I figured I may as well swap it out since they offered free shipping back. They handled the issue reasonably in my opinion.

Mine was a pre-sale from nov 2nd and received today. It wouldn't lock on supercharger side, they got back to me within an hour and I dropped at USPS today. They say I will have the replacement within a week.
I was just going to keep it but since I do not have any trips coming up I figured I may as well swap it out since they offered free shipping back. They handled the issue reasonably in my opinion.

Wow, so you got one of the backwards installed locking tabs...

Glad they are going to replace it.

On the Lectron top side where it latches onto the car's CCS port, is there a way to put a lock to prevent someone from taking the adapter after forcing to stop charging ??

Nope there isn't a space from the factory to put a lock, I suppose you could drill through the latch lever at the back and put a luggage type lock on there, but not advised.

I decided I wanted a backup device incase something happened to my Ford adapter. So I ordered the one from A2Z and it has already been delivered and tested at the local super charger. My son ordered the Lectron the same day and it has not arrived.
Ford says July is my expected delivery month.

Good idea for the back up if you plan on using SC frequently and leave it charging unattended.

Until Ford can lock the adapter into the vehicle, it's easy for anyone walking by to stop the charge and disconnect the adapter.

Luckily the A2Z has a NACS slide lock that's not easy to see compared to the Lectron that has an obvious trigger release underneath to release the NACS plug.

I am keeping my A2Z which has been perfect for a month now and the Ford free adapter.

Wow. Good on Lectron for their quick response so far. I do believe this is just an isolated case. The Vortex Plug is a promising option for those who are far down the waitlist. Hope they sort things out eventually.
