Really dude? Do you want to go down this path yet again? You've been here long enough to know that there are real and quite legitimate reasons that an off-center speed reading is an issue for some. It's been discussed ad nauseam since this happened with OTA 6.8. It ranks behind the annual return of winter "I got the wrong battery" and "When is my free adapter shipping?" as the fastest way to derail any given thread.

I had a 2022 and now a 2024. You need to go into your vehicle settings and turn off the lane keep assist. All the functions associated with it I believe. Then, you’ll get it. I’ll test it and get back hopefully.

Not since OTA 6.8 if you're in a pre 2024 car. For those cars it's the way it is regardless of ADAS settings.

I’ve only had my MME for three weeks but it only took a few days to decide to turn off lane assist. The layout with the speed in the middle is IMO much better than the lane assist layout.
then again I have a Bronco which has a dash layout that looks like a design intern had a night of binging and threw up on the display.

The fact that the 24’s have this with likely the same exact hardware as the 22-23’s but Ford won’t push the software to rest off the fleet probably just for the ability to hold something over the non-24’s? I really hope they change that. i don’t see their competition doing this. I mean if you have the ability to make this a standard default graphical Layout for your loyal customers and it’s what you’re going with for the new ones going forward then do the right thing Ford and push it out! ??

I doubt there's anything personal or nefarious about Ford not (yet?) pushing software to previous year models.
But around here it certainly seems to feeeeel like Ford is enjoying poking us in the eye.

yea it was an update that did this to my car. I def don't mind the speedometer moving to the right when lane assist is on, but never being able to remove that car when lane assist is not being used is an issue. especially since we almost never go on the highway. So when all you does city driving then it becomes really annoying.

I always have all the driving assists turned on, unbridled mode and my speedo is always off to the right. It's not an issue

Couldn't agree more. Doesn't matter one lick to me.

Every single year has different hardware to one degree or another. In fact, sometimes the hardware varies within a year.

Is there a fix for this? I've been driving without that stupid car in the middle of my screen for 3 years. Yea-I like it that way and then they change it without my permission! @Ford what is wrong with you?

Yup. It’s 6.8 did that. The 24s undid it.

Moral of the story? Buy a 2024.

My 24 premium has the speed in the middle when lane assist off. I would rather the speed stay in the middle when lane assist moved to the right instead of the opposite. The screen is now doing this wavy thing also with different color waves. Looks cool for a few minutes, but pretty distracting after a while.

The wavy thing is because you are in whisper driving mode.

Have to say there are much more critical software things I'd like Ford to work on than the position of the speedometer. But everybody (else) paid real money for their car while my dealership accepted Monopoly money so y'all have the right to bitch about whatever you want ?
