I'm wondering if a few members with an OBD2 reader and a Mach E with the LFP battery can post what they get at 100% charge for "energy", HVB Voltage, and HVB voltage variation?

At the end of charging to 100% (measured 3 or 4 hours after it stops) I'm consistently getting 65kWh, 378 to 382V and about 0.065 to 0.080V HVB module variation. Once I drive even a little bit the variation drops to under 10mV, and all the way down to 10% charge it's around 2 to 3mV. I've done several readings right after charging stops and then again 4 hours later and the voltages and deltas are about the same so it seems the BMS does not balance any cells after charging stops, it basically stops doing anything (so why is there a wait 4 hours in the BMS instructions?)

I'm asking because my SOH read on the carscanner app is really low, and after several "BMS reset" cycles (several to under 10% charge) SOH dropped even more instead of going up.

Also, my L2 charge rate (50A circuit) seems stuck at 5 kW, it used to be 8.9kW. unrelated coincidence?

(edit: I'll add, its a 2024 with 26,000miles, I bought used in late March, and I've charged to 100% 26 times in 3 months and 4500 miles and still got the Ford notice to charge to 100% monthly, lol. )

What brand / model is the L2 EVSE? Have you tried a different L2? Have you reset the circuit the L2 is on? There was a bug in the past with ChargePoint EVSE firmware updates that hard coded the EVSE to a lower amperage and you couldn’t increase it.

It's a Grizzl-e connect, used about 30 times over 3 months. Plug in version on a 50A circuit. Only the last 3 charges were at 5.1kW, all previous were at 8.9kW.

Yeah, but have you tried basic troubleshooting like resetting the circuit, contacting Grizzl-E support, etc?

I've reset the charger 3 times but not contacted Grizzl-E yet, as the next step is to charge at a different charger.

My main concern is the 83% SOH at under 30,000 miles though.... (BTW, did the so called 'BMS reset' twice and SOH DROPPED after doing it, so I'm not doing that again.)

I would try to troubleshoot the issues with the low or fluctuating charge rate first. Perhaps you can find another public EVSE to try and find out if the issue is only with your charger.

I would also suggest doing a 12V reset on your car.

Thanks! I'm trying other chargers today.

Why do a 12V reset? For the charging, or for the HVB SOH? I've read here that doing that without a new battery installed could be bad ... the 12V shows as about 600days old, charge moves between 83% SOC and 96%SOC.

To be clear, when I say "12V reset" that means disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5-10 minutes to reboot modules. That is different than a "BMS reset" which is probably what you are thinking.

Disconnecting the negative cable to reboot modules fixes many vehicle glitches.

Got it! Hadn't even considered that. I guess I will learn how to take apart my frunk and find the battery!

Anyone at all have a post 2023.5 SR Mach E (with LFP battery) to share some energy stats with? I'm curious if OBD2/carscanner shows ~72kWh or ~75kWh at 100% when near new, and what do owners see with cars a year or two old now. Thanks!
