Lifgtgate won’t open

I have a 2022 Mach-e route 1. The ligfgate has stopped opening from the screen. Also, when I walk to the car and use the button on the liftgate to open I just see amber lights blink. However, when I unlock car from keyfob and then press the button on liftgate, it does open. The screen button doesn’t work at all. I do see button for frunk to work. Any workarounds?

Try rebooting SYNC, after that I’d consider a 12V reset.

I think you are going to need to pull the 12v negative terminal.

My car got into a similar state some time ago. In my case I could not open the liftgate until I opened any other door first.

Pulling the 12v negative terminal and forcing all the modules to reboot fixed it for me.

There is probably a single fuse you can pull for a bit as well but I don't think anyone has ever said exactly which fuse might help.
