This won’t help you now but I set up a door code that I can’t forget. I created a MME contact in my phone and put a code hint in the notes. (You can store the code but I’m paranoid).

If you use a password manager many will allow you store encrypted notes and you could store the code there if you are really security concerned.

Impressive, I didn't think the car would allow it to be locked with keys inside.
The keypad allows you to lock a running car with the key or phone inside. It is assumed that you would have memorized the keypad entry or made a new one. Ford pass will open the doors if necessary unless one didn’t bother to set up PAAK. I’ve had a Ford with a keypad for 25 years. One of the main reasons for owning a Ford.

First thing I did before driving the car (23 gt) off the lot was to set my own code for the door key pad so that I would never forget it. Less than a one-minute exercise.
That was an absolute essential back when they delivered Mach-e’s with a single fob. There was no rescue with a spare.

Call the dealer you bought it from. They store it in their DMS. That's what we do at our store

Set the door to a more obscure phone number you never will forget, first 5 or last 5 numbers.

Setting up PaaK has nothing to do with FordPass being able to unlock, lock, or remote start...

Keypads are being discontinued by Ford starting in 2025.

Interesting, no keypads in future. I never have used mine, except to ensure I remember the numbers

I saw that in a news article a while back. Unfortunate news imo, but it’s a feature that rarely gets used apparently.

Excellent feature for bikers, runners, swimmers. You can lock the keys inside and not worry about losing them, etc. Good lockout protection as well.

I personally use the keypad regularly but I suspect you’re closer to the norm. The economic reality is that no manufacturer is going to continue to offer a feature that is rarely used.

One of the challenges with vehicle features is getting people educated as to how they work. Peruse FB pages/groups of vehicles and the majority of owners have no clue they even have many of these features. That's why they don't get used? Even when educational materials (manuals, videos, etc.) are created by car companies, nobody reads / views them. It's a shame.

The Mach-E is a unique creature. Other vehicles won't lock if you hit the inside button and leave the fob in the vehicle. But the Mach-E does. Last year we left our fobs in the vehicle as we got out at a rest area (I was on the way back, about to open the door, and my wife got out and closed hers). Locked out. As I sat there trying to remember my door code (panic does wonders for an aged memory), I called my son off a borrowed phone. He couldn't remember it either. As we sat there pondering, he called me back and my watch rang. I answered it, and he said "my wife says why aren't you using the phone directory stored on your watch where you have the code stored under "Ford". I never liked her...

Another important safety tip - remove the plastic card with the factory code from the glove box and store it at home. The factory code is permanent and does you no good when it’s locked in the car, not that any of this helps the OP at the moment.

Sure it does. "I can't believe YOU left that card in the glovebox, FRED!"
