I just got a Mach-E on Friday. I’m liking it so far. I live close to SLC international which has free charging in the long term lot. This might be helpful until I get my charger installed. I can also charge at work… but.

I am going to be parking my car at the airport for 15 days next month for a trip. I kind of don’t think the airport would want me to put it on one of their chargers for that long.. I’m just wondering how well a charge will hold up over a 15 day duration if I don’t put it on one of the airport chargers. Is there a lot of drain if the car if not being used? I would hate to get back and have a dead battery.

There is no drain.

And, the long term lot chargers are exactly for what you propose. If you were unsure, the airport website would confirm it.

The manual actually has good info on letting the car sit for a few weeks. Essentially: charge to 50% and let it sit. Advice for longer times is also given.

The 50% advice is for 30 days or more. 15 days is a nothing burger.

Went to Kentucky for the bourbon crawl and left my MME for 2.5 weeks in typical NW Fall weather without issue. You should be fine.

I left mine for almost 2 weeks in long term parking at Sacramento about 2 months ago - no issues at all. Maybe lost 1 or 2 percent by the time I got back. You’ll be fine.

I'm looking at a 3 MONTH time frame. Wondering about needing a trickle charger

Dozens of threads on this. Your manual tells you what to do for 30 days or longer. SOC - 50%. 12v disconnected. Do NOT leave it plugged in. Many people leave the 12v connected and put it on a trickle charger.

The important take from this, regardless of whether the 12V is put on a trickle charger or disconnected, is that the HV battery should be somewhere very near to 50% if the car won’t be driven for a period of time. 😁🐩

The car goes to deep sleep. The HV will barely discharge. The HV is supposed to maintain the 12 volt if it is draining. I’ve left my 2021 for six weeks before and did nothing to it other than park it - started up right away.

I bet you will lose 1% battery in 15 days. If that.

It's not something you need to worry about for such a short period.
