Sorry if this has been asked and answered. I did a search and didn't find anything. Ford recommends to disconnect the 12v battery during long term (+30 days) storage but they don't mention connecting the battery to a battery tender. I will be traveling for 3 months and I always disconnect my car batteries and connect them to a battery tender. Any issue with doing the same thing with the Mach-E 12V battery?

I'm still a little confused on why Ford recommends to disconnect the 12V battery during long term storage. I understand this makes sense for a car not connected to a charger, but my car will be connected to my level 2 charger. Ford says it is to reduce load on the HV battery. But wouldn't the cars electrical system act as a 12V battery tender with minor load on the HV battery? Any thoughts appreciated.
