My wife and I just picked up a 2024 Premium AWD with the 91kwh battery. Stacked 5 rebates to get $9k off of the X-Plan price. We are now a two Ford EV family with a 2023 XLT ER Lightning as well.

Started with two Chevy Bolts almost 8 years ago. Sold 1 due to my wife working exclusively from home after COVID and GM bought the other back from us for what we paid for it 3 5 years after purchase, due to the battery issues. Turned that cash into a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in 2021. Sold the Model Y in April and bought the Lightning for $19k below sticker. I had wanted one since they came out but could not justify paying all of the dealer markups and Ford's price increases. Patience has it's virtues occasionally...and I'm not known for my patience. My wife finally had enough of Elon's shenanigans and didn't want to drive a Tesla anymore so she test drove a Mach E Premium and thought it was an improvement over the Model 3. Now I have to sell the Model 3. Hopefully, I don't encounter too many flakes...but I will. ?

Welcome!! I am new here too! I got rid of my model 3 almost a month ago and got the same Mach e as you. I have to say there are several things I miss from the model 3, save that for another forum. I like the ride of the Mach e a bit more though. I hope that you enjoy your new Mach e!!

Things I do not miss from my Teslas...wipers randomly dry wiping if the camera sees a cloud, shadow, or overpass it thinks is uh...water? Autopilot being blinded in the mornings and evenings, stopping cruise control from working properly. Autopilot pulling to the right when passing every highway on ramp. I was always waiting for a cop to think I was drunk because I was drifting far right every couple of miles. Not to mention the random slowdowns or phantom braking. Ford does not have all of the bells and whistles that Teslas do but Ford's core functionality just works more reliability. It shows the difference between the "Act fast and break things" mentality of Tesla versus the slow but well tested and thought out philosophy of legacy manufacturers like Ford. Yes, my Ford EVs can't fart or "dance" to music, but Ford's Copilot 360 and Bluecruise are sooo much better than Teslas Autopilot

Congrats on the MME. I just got a 2024 GT myself a few weeks ago (from a 2021 GT-PE). As some on the forum say: “Pics!” ??

You may notice some phantom wipes on start up. You also may notice (as has been reported here over the last few years) some weird BlueCruise behaviors. I have experienced the first, but not the second (since I don’t use BC). ?‍♂?

Anyhow, I hope your wife has have fun with the MME. Don’t forget: The frunk is for chillin’! ??

I sparingly took advantage of the auto pilot features of the model 3, because it was less frustrating to drive myself. I did like the traffic aware cruise control on two lane highways. Each has its pluses and minuses. It’s been an adjustment.

Wait until your wife sees what the Ford CEO does.
First time Farley drove a Ford EV (in 2023!!!!), the PR event was a disaster because he did not know how much it sucked to charge a Ford in the wild. Imagine the CEO of a company making the biggest investment in a generation into a new product and 2 years after the product is released not even knowing about the issues the product has. How is that possible?

Now, Farley wont even drive a Ford EV. (Who can blame him) He drives some chinese car and loves it. That alone should tell you something.

Meanwhile, Elon slept at the factory to solve production problems and make sure the product performed.

Who would you rather have as CEO of your company? The guy that invested billions of someone elses money and doesn't even know how much his product sucks 2 years after its release
or the guy that invested all his own money into the product and works 16 hour days 7 days a week to make sure the product performs

the choice could not be more clear.

So what year do you think Ford designed and decided/commited to manufacture the Mach-E?

Who Elon was a decade ago (or even 5 years ago) is very different that the person he is now. Even if he has always had these tendencies, he kept them under wraps, like a normal CEO.

Glad to be rid of my Fascist-Mobile. My wife and I have no qualms about moving on from Tesla. If you are ok with Elon and what the Tesla brand is associated with due to Elon's hard right turn, that's your prerogative. My prerogative is to get another car. I absolutely have an issue with being associated by product with Elon after his behavior over the past 6 months or so. I mean, there were lots of Germans cool with driving VW Bugs in 1938. Designed and produced by you know who. I would not have been one of them. YMMV.

That is very tolerant and inclusive of you.

Never Fails, someone has major problems with their MME and it is complete silence from @Ford Motor Company
Someone posts flattery for the MME and @Ford Motor Company swoops in like a desperate homebody

There is very little an online CSR can do to help anyway. It's not like they have the ability to get an engineer on the line and remotely fix anything. At best they can help point you to your local dealer and maybe help resolve any dealer issues. The last part is a BIG maybe anyway considering all Ford dealers are independent franchises that are locally or regionally owned.
