looks like the autolock bug has been fixed

In this old thread I described the walk away autolock issue that leaves the car unlocked. I just found out today that it works now as expected, perhaps that was fixed in some firmware update.
The situation is the same as before. I was unloading the car and left the key fob inside the house where the car can't sense it. After I've done unloading, pushed the trunk close button and voilà, the car beeped and locked. Hurrah, thank you, Ford.

Mine still does it with some weird combination of doors and hatch openings. It definitely is related to opening the hatch. It happened to me last week when I was traveling and getting my bags out of the hatch area.
