MACH-E Charger Cord Storage Bag

I decided to use my Ford points to get the charger cord storage bag, but was disappointed to find it didn’t fit in the trunk’s pre-installed foam molding (really weird, especially since it’s the official bag ?). In any case, I removed the molding and it fits just fine, and quite honestly created much more room ??‍ Am I the only one who’s done this, or is there any other reason to keep the molding attached?

Do you have any extra noise without the foam? I'd assume that foam was either reducing noise, adding support for the load floor, or both.

Nope, no added noise whatsoever. Not sure about the load floor, but the case is really sturdy. Don’t think it’s resting on that though, so not sure it matters…I’ll have to double check

I just purchased my 25 GT and did the option of the charger and adapter. My 2022 GTPE came with the charger (at no additional cost) and it was in a soft bag that fit the location under the floor. I am looking at this bag but saw in the reviews that it will not fit but will look into your idea. Does anyone have a photo of the 2 older bag that came standard from the factory in the Mach e?

Did some looking around on FB Marketplace and found a pic of one that is for sale with the Older Soft Bag. Now all I need is the part number for a replacement bag.

Odd how Ford’s parts department bag doesn’t fit in the depression. I guess whomever the supplier is didn’t bother to look at the mechanical specifications for the rear under floor area. Oddly, my Tesla Mobile’s bag fits just fine and it also fits an extra input pigtail (10-30) and my Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter.
