I went through and read most of the threads on this issue but didn't see any answers. My car makes that clicking noise when it's completely off. It is coming from the instrument cluster area. The car is Brand's new built in June 24. I took delivery 2 weeks ago. Perhaps someone can point me in the right direction for good threads about this issue. The ones I read weren't very good. Thank you.

you are *probably* hearing the contactors click open about 10 minutes after you turn the vehicle off, or whatever time period you have set for auto-off timeout ?

....or, you are hearing contactors click close when you approach as the system powers up and prepares to unlock doors and enable PAAK.

If you walk by your vehicle a lot, you may want to either turn off bluetooth, or 'force-stop' FordPass on your phone until you are actually going somewhere. It's important to let the car 'sleep' to avoid unnecessary energy drain from 12v battery

It's when I'm in the car and it's off. I will get a video and post it. It's really odd. It does sound like the noise the car makes when u walk by with your phone but from the instrument cluster.

It's normal so just roll with it. It's not exclusive to the Mach-E either. Our 2022 Maverick does the same thing.

Ford's EVs and hybrids (and even my 2018 V6 Edge) make various ticking and clicking noises for almost 1/2 hour after you turn the car off. There are various relays and climate control doors and whatnot opening and closing as the car "goes to sleep."

That’s normal, it’s actually the ABS unit (mounted to firewall above brake pedal) doing some precharge and valve checks. Happens whenever the car is woken up, such as walking by with your fob or phone in your pocket.

It’s not a problem. It’s totally normal. They all do that.

Hi Derrick! I can look into your Mach-E's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?
