The brakes are just brakes.

Regen "braking" doesn't use any part of the brakes, the name is misleading.

And they are used a whole lot less than on an ICE.

Those of you with fusion hybrids, are the brakes more complicated to change due to the regen? Have any of you tried had to change them or tried changing them?

Service brakes are traditional design. No special requirements.

They look like normal brakes to me. Other than the FE's are painted red.

I'd be shocked if they aren't parts bin from some other Ford.

2010 Fusion Hybrid with 280k miles and the original pads still. 2007 Camry Hybrid before that with 170k miles and the original pads. With Regen, no wear on the pads unless you ride the brakes or brake hard consistently.
