So our Mach-E has been acting nuts and now been in the shop for the 4th day. Last update was they needed to disconnect the 12v and hybrid battery and reset the whole car. Then reconnect both and check code on all modules. They are dealing with the following:
There are over 25 codes in the PCM
We had a Powertrain failure warning that reset itself
We had multiple alerts that the car was losing connection to the TPMS system

These alerts from Vehicle Health Report
ADDITIONAL REMOTE CONTROL AND KEY BLANK
REPROGRAM HVAC CONTROL MODULE

Our 15" screen has gone dead over a dozen times and needs to be rebooted

I mean if you disconnect the battery system, you will get all those codes.

Sometimes when stuff like that happens.....it has been discovered that rodents may have been chewing on the wire harnesses. Just throwing this out there....

They were removing the batteries to clear all the codes. I have them in there without doing any work.

Yea I can see that if the car sat, my wife uses the car every day. Plus there 5 other cars in the driveway that mice could chew on and they are all fine.

Let hope it's not that though.

Okay, Just wanted to mention it just in case. It has happened to a few members here already. I noticed that insects are attracted to electric vehicles while charging. I presume rodents would gravitate towards the warm environment as well.

These cars have lots of codes stored. It's been that way since day one. I have never scanned my car and come up with a code free result. There is always something that shows up. It used to be dozens of codes at first and now it's down to half a dozen or so.

The screen going dead kinda makes me suspect a fault in the wire harness. If I remember correctly....it is possible for that cable to get pinched in between some steel supports during vehicle assembly. Corrective action was taken way back on the Job 1 cars so presumably this all has been resolved at the plant by now. How old is your car?

The best way to clear the codes is with a scan tool.
However, there have been some reports of successful results by disconnecting the negative cable from the low voltage battery and then re-connecting. Things like door locks not working can be temporarily corrected with this method. Usually, there is a core issue that allows the symptom to return though.

The two updates are “normal” though. One is a program that gives you a second key, or it pays you for the second key you may have already purchased since 21 Job 1s received only one key.

The other is the heater reprogramming that produces more heat below 5ºF. That’s just a module update via FDRS.

…and code clearing? Yeah, that’s a scan tool or FDRS job and takes two minutes. I think your dealership is feeding you some BS.

It happened to my wife’s i3. The air bag warning came on because a rodent chewed the wires underneath the seat.
