If you can’t find a 2022 without a high ADM, it sounds like you already have your answer.

Thanks for clarifying. But personally what i think is Mache E 2023 would be a bit better than 2022 in terms of range.

What would you have done if you would have been in my place?

If I could find a 2022 without ADM, I’d buy it. If not, I’d order a 2023. But I wouldn’t plan on seeing an increase in range.

Thanks for the suggestion. But the sad thing is i cannot find a dealer who does not take ADM. So i am planning to go with 2023. Its hard to go for 2022 what i think.

Agree on looking around to see if you can find one without ADM. Even if you are among the first to order, you are in the best case looking at around 6 months before 2023s start getting delivered.

Also as generaltso mentioned, you are likely to pay more for the 2023 (if you can find a 2022 without ADM) because of the model year price increase and potential tax credit phase out.

I'd recommend using the Ford website's inventory search. Look at dealerships far from you too, a good price is worth a one way ticket to Southern California or just driving out an hour or two from the Bay.

Contact the dealers online. Some will give you a price over email. If they tell you ADM, move on from them. If they want you to come in, move on from them.

You are correct that probably, they all want ADM, but you might get lucky and find something not too far away if you reach out to numerous dealers online in this way.

Check out The Ford Store in Morgan Hill. They are reported to sell without ADM. But I don't know if they have any available inventory or unspoken for incoming orders...

The car has only been around 2 model years. The only way you will see a range increase is if they change the battery.

The battery is highly unlikely to change for 2023.

But the 2023 price is definitely going up and the fed tax credit is definitely going down then away.

If they’re asking $7k over MSRP, offer $3k and see what they say.
