I purchased my mach-e brand new with 15 miles. I've noticed a weird noise and vibration coming from the rear when its full, it only happens when coming to a stop. I had my family in the car with me a couple times over the last few months and every time it makes this noise, almost sounds similar to an air brake from a semi just not as extreme and there is a vibration you can feel through the rear seats from under. I noticed when I was sitting back there and let my mom drive. It is only when the one pedal function is activated and the motor is braking. It goes away when I turn one pedal off and use the brakes. I heard it again the other night when I had a few boxes in the back that were full of stuff. So it only seems to happen when there is a load in the car more then two people. Has anyone experienced this issue? Could it be the rear motor is bad?

Never heard of this issue but I will suggest cleaning your brakes. Place car in N and apply brakes. I do this every now and then on the downhill leaving my house. Brakes are used very little and there can be some build up on the rotors.

Its usually with one pedal braking, the motor is doing the braking. I rarely use the brakes. When I turn one pedal off, it goes away.

braking...

If you want to eliminate the brakes as the possible cause, then do what was recommended, clean your brakes (see method below).

And, whether you use one pedal braking or not, you're using the same regen, and the brake pads are getting applied at the end of the stop.

1) Get to speed.
2) Shift to N.
3) Apply brakes.
3) Get to speed again, repeat.

It does not matter which mode you use - the Mach always goes with regenerative braking unless you press the brake aggressively and also switched from regen to brakes just before or at full stop (at least in 2PD.) I normally notice braking making a noise or a bit grabby as I just about stop and that is when I know I need to clean the rotors as I mentioned. I think regen can be more aggressive in 1PD (never used the mode) so perhaps something elsewhere could be going on but you are using regen in either mode.

Was not aware that it would use the brakes at the end of the stop. But that would lead me to believe its not the brakes themselves. It only occurs when 3 factors are met: coming to a stop over 15 mph, 1PD is on, and when the vehicle is full of people/ has added weight in back. If I turn off 1PD and use the standard brakes the sound doesn't occur. I was just curious if it had occurred with anyone else, before I take it to get inspected.

I had a similar issue with my 2023 Mach E Premium RWD. When I took it to the dealer they ended re torquing the rear suspension and that took care of the noise issue. May or may not be related.
