most insurances will pay on your behalf to repair the windshield if it’s smaller than a dollar bill. an actual replacement falls under your comprehensive coverage, where replacement cost will be no more than the max of your deductible. (if replacement costs $800 but your deductible is $500, the insurance would cover the remaining $300 after your $500).$1k glass deductible? What kind of crap insurance is that….monthly rate better be pretty low.
That just sounds like a "normal" deductible for someone that doesn't have specific/separate glass coverage... which is what I'd expect someone to pay if their policy doesn't explicitly cover it. Some states are weird about their glass coverage requirements too.$1k glass deductible? What kind of crap insurance is that….monthly rate better be pretty low.
$1k normal deductible? Like I said…better be a pretty cheap monthly rate. That just sounds like a "normal" deductible for someone that doesn't have specific/separate glass coverage... which is what I'd expect someone to pay if their policy doesn't explicitly cover it. “normal” as in they don’t have specific glass coverage, but it is covered as part of their comprehensive coverage. people also have the ability to choose which deductibles are best for them. some people may not be able to afford $0, $250, or even a $500 deductible premium. you keep saying it better be a cheap rate…as always with insurance - the higher the deductible, the lower the premium. so yes, the monthly rate will be fairly more affordable (cheap is subjective to everyone’s finances). not sure what you’re contributing to this thread, honestly.$1k normal deductible? The video claimed he had a $1,000 deductible. Which seems ridiculously high even without a glass policy….that is my contribution, it’s not that deep.“normal” as in they don’t have specific glass coverage, but it is covered as part of their comprehensive coverage. people also have the ability to choose which deductibles are best for them. some people may not be able to afford $0, $250, or even a $500 deductible premium. you keep saying it better be a cheap rate…as always with insurance - the higher the deductible, the lower the premium. so yes, the monthly rate will be fairly more affordable (cheap is subjective to everyone’s finances). not sure what you’re contributing to this thread, honestly.
