How long after you put the fuse back did it update?
I did a factory reset of the connectivity and the Ford app/PAAK before I pulled the fuses. It was pretty quick when I turned on the car and reconnected everything.

Thanks for the help all. I pulled fuses 11/12 and 21/22 for ten minutes When that didn't work I pulled them for an hour, which also didn't work.

Then I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes or so, and that didn't work either.

Looks like I gotta take it back to the dealer.

Dang, did you factory reset your car, app, and paak?

I didn't. Seems like just pulling the fuses or battery terminal works for others with this problem. Not sure if that would help, and sounds like a bit of a pain.

Have you given Ford a call to go over the troubleshooting steps? I would, and they’d likely guide you to reset the point. That’s where I’d have done the fuse pull. It’s definitely worth trying to save yourself some time and money from the dealership service, even if it’s a bit of a hassle.

As mentioned by Gimme, there is a known issue of 2025 vehicles where it seems the TCU takes a crap and needs to be replaced, so if none of this worked, then a dealer visit is warranted.

Hopefully you can get it sorted!

Not long. After I turned the car back on and updated the app and it was fixed. I read somewhere that in the upper right corner of the screen there’s 2 arrows that point in opposite directions. It shows if you’re connected to the ford serves.

Thanks.

Do you know if they are just putting the same part in, or have they fixed the issue with the 2025 TCU?

Got a bad TCU myself on a ‘25 GT. Been waiting five weeks for a fix (first few were my dealership taking too long to figure it out, last couple weeks due to a back order on the replacement TCU). Very similar symptoms, tried all the fuse pulling, etc. fixes to just reboot but nothing worked. The dealership had it three days total to diagnose the bad TCU and now I’m in a holding pattern until the new part comes in. Super sucks to have it happen in a brand new car I’ve otherwise loved.

I'm in the same situation ... less than 2500 miles on a 2025 Premium bought in August ... modem backordered with no ETA. I called the EV parts line as well ... no ETA.

I have two points of contact at Ford now. One said the parts were stuck at customs but were released a week ago, and the other said the part will be "available mid-December." When I pressed them on what that meant, they said the dealer would be able to order it at some point in December. So no concrete info on when our cars can actually be repaired, but a little more info than you seem to have gotten so far.

Been going through the same thing. At the dealership right now getting GWM replaced and if that doesn't work, TCU will be replaced too. Thank god I have extended warranty or else it would be thousands of dollars.

Same issue on a '21 mustang, I cant connect it to the FORD app and Im unable to update my software .. when going into diagnostics mode (volume down+previous number) in connectivity tab it shows everything connected. Also the up/down arrow are visible in the display. Called the number in the FORD app and they tried to ping it which didnt work and said modem needs to be replaced, bring it to the garage.. Took like 2 minutes, was able to make an appointment for februari 16th.. this is horrendous
