They should have know the rear motor is designed and built by Borg Warner as there was a whole press release on it.

Small correction, but I believe the motor is Ford's design. They may or may not also assemble it.

Borg Warner builds the iDM, which integrates the motor, gearing, controller, and park pawl into a package that's then ready for vehicle assembly.
