We have 2 Mach-Es, same year same trim level bought very close together. Both 2023's. Both at the same software versions across the board. Everything we do with the cars is identical, down to owning the identical android phones and using android auto. we even swap cars sometimes and the issue follows the Mach-e not the user or phone.
Since we got them, one of them has only needed a hard reset to the Sync system maybe 2 times. the other one is constantly needing the sync system reset at startup. Some days it's so bad that we have to restart the sync system at startup every time we start the car. other days it goes a couple of days.
I find it really interesting that between the two, one is pretty much rock solid while the other one has sync lock up at boot frequently. It's more of an inconvenience than anything and doesn't bother me much since it's easy to reset the system. It could be hit or miss to reproduce at the dealership so I haven't mentioned it to them yet.
My concern is, is this an early warning sign that something on the one unit is corrupt or defective in some way vs the other unit?
Has anyone experienced this issue in a vehicle that did it all the time and had a successful resolution at the dealership? If you did, what did the fix end up being?
Has anyone had this issue and then have something fail completely a while after?
I'm curious if it's worth mentioning to the dealership or not.
